What we collect and why

Five kinds of forms collect only what each task needs:

  • Contact: name, email, topic, and message so we can reply.
  • Newsletter: email and optional first name so we can send the newsletter.
  • Support-group signup: first name and email so we can send meeting links and reminders.
  • Wall of Hope: name, email, story, display name, and explicit permission choices so we can review a submission and contact you before publication.
  • Sponsor inquiry: business and contact details so we can answer the inquiry.
Where submissions go and who can see them

Form submissions are sent by POST over an encrypted connection. A Cloudflare Worker stores them in a private Cloudflare KV store and emails a copy to the founder at a Little Luminaries Therapy Services address.

Dr. Taylor Hickok, MS, DBH, CCC-SLP sees submissions. If parent volunteers later help with a specific program, they will see only that program’s submissions and this policy will be updated first. Submissions remain until you ask us to delete them or we remove stale records.

Tracking, cookies, and your device

We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. The site counts selected homepage paths and search terms that return no results as anonymous daily totals, without cookies, accounts, IP addresses, device fingerprints, or personal or health information. Cloudflare separately provides aggregate hosting statistics.

Some pages save your own filter or display choices in your browser on your device. We do not receive those choices.

Email lists, meetings, and payments

When the mailing-list service is connected, newsletter and group signups will also be added to MailerLite so requested emails can be sent. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe option.

The online support group will use a mainstream video platform named in the welcome email. That platform’s privacy terms apply during the call. The host does not record meetings; participants agree not to record or take screenshots, though complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed.

We do not collect payments today. Before Village Hall registration or supporter payments open, this policy will identify the payment processor and applicable terms. Our site will not collect card numbers directly.

Wall of Hope stories and permission

A parent volunteer reviews each story. We publish a story only when the Wall of Hope permission is checked and may include it in the newsletter only when that separate permission is checked. Permission to contact someone about a photo or video does not authorize publication of that media; exact media requires separate approval.

We confirm final wording before publication, use the chosen display name, and omit identifying details unless the submitter specifically approves them. You may submit with every publication box unchecked, and nothing will be published.

Clinical information and children

Site forms are community-resource forms, not clinical or HIPAA-secure channels. Do not send medical records, diagnostic reports, or other sensitive health information. Little Luminaries clients should use the practice’s secure clinical system.

Forms are intended for adults. If we learn that a child submitted personal information, we delete it.

How we handle messages and your choices

Messages may include health, disability, school, and family details. We treat those details as confidential, do not sell or rent them, and do not share them outside the small team described here. Public Directory and business listings concern organizations, not a family’s personal information.

You may ask what we hold about you, correct it, request deletion, or withdraw a permission—including Wall of Hope publication permission before or after publication. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time, usually within days.
